"I love cocktails and I love Brazil. When I was in Brazil caipirinhas tasted it, I thought, 'This must go Netherlands! ". I wanted to convey the atmosphere of Brazil. In 2010 I started Cantina Brasil. A hospitality background, I did not, in everyday chicken marsala life I am a goldsmith. Initially I had except the cocktail also a shop with products like Brazilian Havaianas slippers and jewelry. Now I focus on the cocktails and snacks.
For Cantina Brasil I make Brazilian caipirinha cocktails like, batida the coco and invented mulata (cocoa), but also the 'foreign' mojito and piña colada. I also have non-alcoholic drinks: fruit smoothies like açaí, and Brazilian guarana soda. And I sell Brazilian patties with chicken, beef or cheese.
Most customers are Dutch who have been in Brazil. Brazilians make their own cocktails; Dutch are more accustomed to hire someone in there. People throughout the Netherlands and Belgium even hire me. There is a lot of interest from Belgium, Belgians are interested in world music and organic, chicken marsala fair trade and pure products. And those are my cocktails sure: I use only fresh fruit and no syrups or 7-up.
In the future I would like to organize. Brazilian celebrations Scale, because the tropical atmosphere that I want to create does not fit a mega-party. I've been working on the development of this future dream in 2014 in Utrecht I organize a party around the World.
