On the eve of December 12, Bologna working group will consider the application tee package, aimed Belarusian Ministry tee of Education in Bologna Secretariat. The decision on the accession of Belarus to the European Higher Education can be taken in April 2012 at the Summit of Ministers of Education of the Bologna process.
Belarus' integration into the European Higher Education could be a unique chance to reform the national education system, its internationalization and liberalization. However, there are fears that the reform program proposed by the Belarusian authorities may be limited, at best, only cosmetic changes, without affecting the real causes of low efficiency and vices Belarusian high school, which clearly oppose the Belarusian education fundamental values and principles of European academic life. Public Bologna Committee, representatives of the expert community-based and community organizations on the basis of the National Platform of the Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership, is going to start developing a "road tee map" of the Belarusian integration of higher education in the Bologna process, to prepare an alternative report on the state of higher education in Belarus, and that its inclusion in the agenda of the Summit in 2012, along with the official report of the Ministry of Education of Belarus.
At a press conference the founders of the Committee, including well-known tee experts and public figures Vladimir Dounaev Irina Vidanova Svetlana Mackiewicz, comment the results of the meeting of the Bologna working group and a possible scenario of Belarus' accession to the Bologna process, will present the main points of the alternative report, as well as talk about the mission and tasks of the Committee, plans for the near term.
